The quality of those pictures is almost like still having the piece in your hand......ALMOST!. I buy each dagger with the intention of enjoying it for a short time, passing it on when an upgrade is available...... The only snag is I am yet to let one leave .

Eric...I can relate to your "Speaking to you" comment. Sometimes, regardless of the condition, the dagger just feels right. I'm not sure exactly how nice your SA was, but it's replacement(DLV), looks darn sweet.

Hi Flugzeug, The sa would rate fair condition, all original nothing to write home about but i just loved the craftsmanship put into it. The DLV knife is very sweet indeed Thanks, it sill has most of the crossgrain and the leather is perfect with just one scuff on the grip pictured (center of the grip)and light runner scratches at the tip. The maker is Helbig with the early etching. This one is a keeper. The 2nd model luft in the same pic is a near mint A.W.jr. my second favorite in the collection, it would be mint but the swas only has about 15% of the guilding intact. This one has a nice dark even patina throughout. This Sa is my First and favorite bought from Paul Hoogel 3 years ago. This Dagger is what got me interested in the hobbie. When i bought it I said to myself this will be the only german dagger i will buy, well three years later i have 10 minty daggers, 2 swords with another on the way,a Sweet Army tunic with Dagger reciently bought off of GDC, and a number of great reference books. so now i'm addicted. Eric

Eric...If this was your very first TR dagger, you sure did get the right start. Your Gebruder is a real beauty, and the leather buffer to boot! Thanks for sharing it.
