Admittidly I'm no expert on damast blades but I think the price is telling. I would think if this were the real thing that it would have been scooped up at that buy it now price.

Interesting grip too. With the obvious covering of the crossguard swaz, I doubt it will be running for very long.

hi all,according to whittman the spelling is paul mueller,and he states "when blades are encountered with the name of the mastersmith on the ricasso,they are usually post-war".the marks should be on the tang. cheers peter

Complete fake, no doubt about it.
This type of damascus pattern wasn't produced by Muller.

You're right, that pommel is from a Landzoll, good eye. Looks like the Eban Gestapo got to it already, I guess this inconspicuous hiding of the crossguard swaz is what did it.
