THe pics are not good enough for a
sound opinion,BUT,this is a very common
spurious etch found on 2nd Patt Lufts.
"For long years true service in the General Staff".Not saying this is one.Just a comment.

No expert but personally I would not buy a C&J etch Luft or Army.To many repro's eagle has the buzzard head on the etch.Only one I would buy would be a Voos or an unmarked Voos.You don't have to explain them if you sell.JMO

Thankyou chaps the SS dagger he had looked a bit tragic ,but I had never seen an etched LW before so it was worth getting it checked out .Rob.
