Homework number 1 if you are collecting German daggers: trademarks with the word "Germany" are post war.

Methinks the bid that took this piece in one jump from 200 Euro to 800 Euro was a shill bid! That bidder had the same area code in Germany as the seller! (and one solitary feedback!)

Beside the outer shape of this item here there is really nothing comparable with a period dagger, hanger or portepee.
