Hello friends,

as some of you may know I am writing a book on the history of the town of Mannheim and its surrending villages from 1933-45. It will enclude all of Mannheims Bunkers, the kasernes and of courese the NSDAP party, HJ, BDM, ect . Also the villages around the city will be encluded, since they all were encluded a in Bann 171. I have been thru some of the citys archives and found many things. I was able to locate several SA Stumnummern ect.
I would like to enclude also pictures of the standarts, Ortsgruppenflagen ect for each town. Since most of those "flags' were either captured by the comming americans and taken home as a suveniers I would like to ask here in the forum if anyone has a flag of the following towns at home and would be so nice to send me a picture of it. If wanted I will put the name under the picture in my book.

All town are in the vicinity of Mannheim.

I do not own this now, but i was once the owner of the Ketsch RAD standarte

Wow, this is my hometown!!!! Do you have a picture??? Or do you know who has it now??

Dirk, it went back to Germany about 12 years ago, to the Ketsch communal archives along with it's local BDM pennon and NSBO standarte..

Hopefully it is there to be viewed..!

All were obtained from an ex-GI who walked in with them at the first Max show.

I checked now at our Townhall and the local Ketsch archives and museum but-- no one has seen or dealt with those items! Do you have any names or a picture form it?

Hi Dirk..nothing i've seen yet, but i still have many thousands of images to sort through when i have time..! I may have a go at calling my former contacts in Ketsch, they may be just not interested or can't be bothered dealing with inquiries about that era..hard to say..but they have items..

Nothing yet, but I have sent a query to the town in regards to this matter..we will see where that goes.

Dirk, it looks like the vet who sold me the Ketsch flags did not give me all he had!..i would be willing to bet this came from the same man!..
