I have had this flag for awhile and was recently told it is an SS Sturmfahne. The flag features gold metallic fringe and measures about 47" x 53", excluding the fringe. The corner patches are black with heavy twisted white piping and embroidered white lettering. The pole rings aren't marked. The early-style horizontal swastika is sewn separately onto the white circle. What is a flag like this generally worth?

I have now been told this is an NSKK flag. I appreciate the input I have received in identifying it.

John, i think you will find that it is in fact a very early NSBO flag with static (not canted on one leg..) swastika

Yes, definitely NSBO. the SS & NSKK used Sturm/Standatre numbers rather than districts/towns on the black patches. Still a nice early flag, and one you can still find a poletop for reasonably.

Welcome Bruce~! See you at the SoS!
